Sponsorship

The Democracy Project of Transylvania gives middle school students across the county a chance to hear directly from members of their own community about what civic life looks like in practice, and to respond with creative projects of their own.

This work depends entirely on the generosity of sponsors like you. The largest share of your support goes directly to participating schools, as a contribution award each teacher team can use toward civic education in their own classroom. Your support also funds cash awards for top student projects and the Awards Night celebration, where students, families, teachers, and community members gather to see student work on display.

DPT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and the Transylvania County public school system has given formal permission for the program to operate in its middle schools. As a non-partisan organization, we welcome sponsors from across the political spectrum who share our belief that strong civic education benefits every student, regardless of where they or their families stand politically.

We invite you to become a sponsor, or to continue as one. A contribution of any amount is appreciated, and we suggest $100 as a starting point.
